Day 4 - Free Day (B-D)
Free day. We suggest a leisurely massage in a famous Turkish hamam, or a quiet game of backgammon while reclined on a pile of cushions in a tea house. We can assist with recommendations as required.
19:00 Pick up from your hotel for Turkish Night Show in Istanbul (dinner included). Watch a spectacular floor show of famous belly-dancers, traditional live Anatolian Folklore Groups featuring popular musical instruments and Turkish singers.

Day 5 - Istanbul-Gallipoli (B-L)
06:30 Depart early in the morning from Istanbul. We drive to Eceabat, where you will hear about the naval battle in the Dardanelles prior to the Gallipoli army landings. Later, we continue to the Kabatepe War Museum, which contains relics from the battle including original diary extracts and letters. Lunch at Eceabat. We then visit Brighton Beach, the intended landing place and Anzac Cove where the dawn service is held on each Anzac Day. You will also visit the Troy Australian Memorial, Johnston's Jolly and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. After visiting the Kilitbahir fortress, which was built in 1453 by Mehmet II the Conqueror (to honor his successful siege of Constantinople), we will cross the Dardanelles to spend the night in Canakkale.

Day 6 - Troy-Pergamum (B-L)
After breakfast drive to Troy. Here you will learn the mythology surrounding Troy, The Trojan Horse and Helen of Troy. To date, 10 cities have been discovered, one built on the top of the other, dating back to 3500 BC. You will hear about the battle between Archillies and Paris, see the Remains of Troy IX, and the Altars and the Houses of Troy I, dating back to 2500 BC.
After Troy - lunch break. Drive to Pergamum.
Visiting:
The architects and sculptors of the ancient city of Pergamum were among the finest in the Hellenistic world. We will visit The Temple of Trajan, Hellenistic Barracks and Tower, Palaces, Library, Temple of Athena, Theatre, Temple of Dionysus, Altar and Zeus. Asclepion was one of the most famous shrines and therapeutic centre in the ancient world. The Red Basilica originally served as a Temple of Serapis, an Egyptian God, and later weas described as one of the Seven churches of Apocalypse by St John the Divine. Before leaving Pergamum, we will visit the local archaeological Museum. After Pergamum we drive to Kusadasi.

Day 7 - Ephesus (B-L)

Visiting:
Visit Ephesus Ancient City, the best preserved Greco-Roman city in the world. See the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Explore the Agora, Odeon, Curettes Street, public toilets, Celsius Library, Hadrian Temple, Roman Baths, Grand Theatre, Marble Street. After a lunch break depart for the House of Virgin Mary and visit the chapel where she is said to have spent her last days.

Day 8 - Pamukkale - Oludeniz (B-L)
09:00 After breakfast, depart for Pamukkale tour.
12:00 Arrival to Pamukkale and lunch.

The Cotton Cliffs. Pamukkale is an extraordinary natural wonder. The mineral-rich waters rise from the ground at a temperature of 35 C and tumble down the mountain from a height of 100 meters, forming a myriad of pools. Cream-colored stalactites are formed as the water overflows from the pools, creating a breathtaking sight unequalled in the world. Also visit the ancient ruins of the City of Hierapolis with its Basilica, theatre, Roman Bath and sprawling Necropolis. After the tour transfer to the bus station.
17:00 Bus to Fethiye
21:00 Arrive in Fethiye. Pick up from Fethiye bus station and transfer to Oludeniz.

Visiting:
See the Stadium (seating 12,000), Bath and Colonnaded Street, in Perge. In Aspendos, you can see the Roman Theatre built in the second century that seats 15,000. At the pretty site of Side, see the Apollo Temple, ancient ruins and two sandy beaches. About 14km north-east of Antalya is Kursunlu waterfall, a shady park set in a pine forest with a waterfall and pool. It’s a good place to get away from the noise and activity of city life. After the tour transfer back to Antalya city centre and free time for dinner in Antalya.

Visiting:
Zelve Open air museum where three canyons meet in the Valley. Then visit Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy-chimneys. Drive to Pasabag (Monks Valley) to see most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles. Drive to the city of Avanos for lunch. In the afternoon visit Goreme Open-Air Museum where the remains of rock-hewn churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Before end of the tour visit the natural castle at Uchisar. After the tour transfer back to the hotel.

05:30 Early departure for Cappadocia Balloon trip (Optional)
The Balloon Tour offers a minimum one-hour flight time in the air. You will be collected from your hotel early in the morning, usually before sunrise and driven to the take-off site. While you are having a light breakfast, you will watch the inflation of the balloon then get a passenger briefing which explains basic rules & safety measures for the balloon flight. Then it’s time to climb into the basket and highlight of your Turkey trip begins! The take off is gentle - soon you’ll be taking hundreds of pictures over the valleys of Cappadocia. After the flight lands, there is a small celebration with champagne and you will receive your flight certificate. You will be driven back to your hotel around 08:30am just in time for breakfast and your daily tour.

Visiting:
Derinkuyu Underground City to visit the huge refugee settlement carved by early Christians, where they used to hide from persecutors. From Derinkuyu continue to the beautiful Valley of Ihlara, formerly known as Peristerema. Explore the famous rock-hewn churches and take a gentle 4km hike through the valley. On the way back stop at monasteries in Selime Village and see a 13th century Caravansaray built by Selcuk Turks on the Silk Road. After the tour transfer to the airport for your flight to Istanbul.
