Day 2 HIGHTLIGHTS OF ISTANBUL
  Today you will have the chance to explore this truly amazing city on a full day tour. Our program leads us to places such as the Roman Hippodrome, Blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia. Lunch will be taken in one of the best kebab restaurants in Istanbul, Hamdi, where you will also enjoy a fantastic view. Next stop is the famous and largest Ottoman palace, Topkapi Sarayi. Enjoy a slow paced, relaxing walking tour of the palace to end the day. Stay overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3 ANKARA
  Transfer to the airport in the morning for your flight to Ankara. After our arrival, we will visit the impressive mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of Turkish Republic, our national hero and one of the most respected persons in our time. We also take a city bus tour before lunch. In the afternoon we take the opportunity to visit the Archaeological museum of Ankara, which is one of the best ancient history museums of the world. After our visit we return to the hotel for dinner. Stay overnight in Ankara.

Day 4 HATTUSAS, YAZILIKAYA & CAPPADOCIA
  A drive through the beautiful country-side brings us to Hattusas, a capital city of the long-time forgotten Hittite Empire. Delight in this rare chance to discover this wonderful city, over 3500 years old, with its still standing city walls, temples and covering Gates. The Sanctuary of the Hittites, one of the most interesting of all the relics, will not be missed of course. Following lunch, our bus drives into the pastel coloured, high plateaus of middle Turkey. Arrive to the most breathtaking nature miracle of the world known as Cappadocia. Stay overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 5 CAPPADOCIA
  Today we set off on a full day tour and lose ourselves in this magical place - volcanic tufa formations, medieval monasteries, frescoed chapels and villages carved in to the hills, almost untouched. In addition, pre-tour you may like to take a hot-air balloon ride, without a doubt the most amazing way to view this incredible landscape. We visit a pottery and tile manufacturer where you can kick and spin the potter’s wheel to create your own. In the evening, stick with your guide and he will take you to watch the mystical whirling dervishes in a Silk Road Caravanserai. Stay overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 6 AKSARAY
  After breakfast in the morning we experience a place like no other, the subterranean cities of Cappadocia. Following this we enter the world of Turkish rug-making, made by the skilful hand of local girls, spinning the wool by hand, made from vegetable dyes, producing silk out of cocoons and weaving the most beautiful rugs, kilims and sumaks. A special lunch is arranged at a local home cooked by the family of the household. At the days end we witness the magnificent sunset over the Cappadocia region while nibbling on cheese and sipping wine. Spend the night in Aksaray, a city located along the Silk Road. Our hotel is just by the caravanserai where Marco Polo once stayed. Stay overnight in Aksaray.

Day 7 ANTALYA
  Driving on the Silk Road today we make a stop at the largest Caravanserai, the Sultan Han in Turkey where once merchant travellers spent the night. Arrive in Konya, home of Mevlana Rumi. See the museum and Mausoleum of this great poet, thinker and sufi order founder, known as the Whirling Dervishes. Konya, a shire for all Rumi readers and lovers from all over the world. After lunch, we take a side track to see a most unusual mosque made of wood in 11th Century. We then continue to Antalya crossing the Taurus Mountains. Stay overnight in Antalya.

Day 8 ANTALYA
  Antalya, the Mediterranean, the middle of the Earth. Today we tour the best preserved Roman theatre in Aspendos and the ancient city of Perge. You will have this afternoon free to relax and explore the city, maybe visiting the Archaeological museum or strolling through the old town by the harbour. Stay overnight in Antalya.

Day 9 PAMUKKALE & HIERAPOLIS
  Returning through the Taurus Mountains again we stop this time to visit some one of the oldest Turkish nomads called Yoruks, who live most of the year in their black woollen tents. While the men take goats and sheep out to graze, the women weave rugs and make dairy products as children play freely in the unspoiled nature. Saying our goodbyes, we arrive in the small town of Pamukkale, famous for it’s hot springs and white terraces created by this magical water. We also walk the ruins of Hierapolis City. Upon returning to the hotel take the change to swim in the thermal pool. Stay overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 10 SARDES & SMYRNA.
  Enjoy the drive today through the heart of Western Turkey. Our first stop will be Sardes, once the capital of the Lydian Empire, where the coin was invented and monetary and economy foundations were first established. Sardes has also a well preserved temple of Diana and definitely worth the visit and a synagogue, thought to be the largest as far as we know. In the afternoon we arrive to Izmir, Turkey’s 3rd largest city. Stay overnight in Izmir.

Day 11 EPHESUS
  After breakfast we set off for the ancient city of Ephesus. Here you will visit the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. We then proceed to the Ancient City of Ephesus where you will explore some of the best preserved theatres, fountains and buildings in the world. A definite must while in Turkey. In the afternoon, we will have time to see a fashion show at a leather ware production centre and you will have the opportunity for shopping. Stay overnight in Izmir.

Day 12 CANAKKALE
  Today our route heads north through a sea of endless olive trees as far as an eye can reach. Visit the city of Pergamon, home of parchment paper and the second biggest library in the ancient world. After lunch we reach Mount Ida where Homer’s beauty contest was held and where the Gods resided to watch over the Trojan battle. You will also have the chance to visit the mystical city of Troy, not only to retrace the legend, but it is also an illuminating insight into civilizations of the Bronze Age. After our visit we end our day in the lively town of Canakkale located on the shores of the Dardanelles, where the battle for Gallipoli took place. Stay overnight in Canakkale.

Day 13 ISTANBUL.
  Departing early morning from our hotel we cross the Dardanelles and make our return journey back to Istanbul. Enjoy lunch in a fish restaurant by the Bosphorus and take a memorable cruise along this breathtaking strait. Disembark at the Golden Horn and end the day and tour with an exciting visit to the Grand Bazaar. Stay overnight in Istanbul.
